Good news for EmailGarage and other Saas-applications!
European research from Colt Telecom shows us that 44 % of questioned companies see SaaS as an attractive solution.

SaaS-applications become more and more popular in email marketing. Software as a Service, is consumer-oriented web-native software that hosts and operates over the Internet. No more need for downloads or expensive software, the application runs on the worldwide web, data is stored on external servers and services are ‘rented’. Customers do not pay for owning the software itself but rather for using it. ‘Rent a service’, Application Service Provider, On-Demand or Utility computing, it means the same, but SaaS is becoming the industry fashion term.

SaaS, or Software as a Service, offers low cost solutions and flexibility in integration and application.
71% of Dutch marketers predict an increasing use of SaaS in the future.

Some SaaS-applications might make work more complex, others claim usability as a strong benefit, in comparison with other applications. From my point of view the popularity of these applications shows the increasing desire of mobility in the society.
