Email Marketing Forum 2007: the slides

Yesterday was a great day for email marketers. The Email Marketing Forum in Brussels brought all email marketing specialists together, speaking about different aspects of this amazing, interactive channel. Subjects as testing, reporting, segmenting and dynamic content were widely presented and discussed.

The Email Marketing Forum was an initiative from Best Of Publishing, a leading Belgian marketing publisher, supported by interactive DM marketing organisations as IAB and BDMV/ABMD.

The IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau) deputed several speakers participating in their Email Marketing Taskforce. We can present you the slides of their great presentations, each of them are leading direct marketing specialists in Belgium.

Tamara Gielen (OgilvyOne)

Tamara Gielen spoke about testing in email marketing. She created an easy plan to test every campaign and to measure the potential success or failure of your email message. You can download her presentation here.

Hans Smellinckx (

Hans Smellinckx’ presentation was about enriching your e-maillists. His tips and tricks are very useful with the current email opt-in laws and legislation. Read his presentation here.

Peter Ingelbrecht (Citobi)

Peter Ingelbrecht built a presentation on the basic email rule; get the message to the inbox. Deliverability is crucial for a successfull campaign. He gives a lot of tips to increase your delivery chances. View his presentation here.

Béate Vervaecke (e-Zen)

Béate Vervaecke looked at the importance of email metrics. How are they calculated? And what can you learn from them?
She outlined the value of open rates, click-through percentages, unsubscribe management, etc. View here presentation here.

Kenny Van Beeck (EmailGarage)

Kenny Van Beeck gave 35 tips and best practices for efficient email marketing. His slides, full of tips about email design, email copywriting and landing page conversions can be found here.
